This course will introduce students to the essential events of world history from the dawn of human civilization to the present.
Units will start with some key vocabulary, basic map skills, and reading. From there, we will take you on a grand tour of the biggest events from the last 12,000 years or so all while requiring you to think critically and demonstrate your knowledge through writing, activities and projects. By the time the course is complete, you will be able to make well reasoned arguments about current world affairs using historical events and research to back up those arguments.
